About Renewal

We exist to declare and display the worth and wonder of Christ.

Our Vision

Making disciples who behold, belong, and become like Christ.

Our Mission

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross. - Colossians 1:16-20

Our Culture

Culture is not what you say but who you are. The culture of the church are those biblical ideals that we share as a covenant community. If our vision and mission drives us, then our values are our guardrails.

JESUS-CENTERED

We live like Jesus. Throughout history, the church has believed and embraced the truth that Jesus is Lord. The good news of Jesus is the foundation of our church and lives. In our songs, sermons, in everything we do: Jesus.

SPIRIT-LED

We follow the Spirit’s leading. A community cannot claim to be gospel-centered without being Spirit-led. The type of culture we want to foster and develop — One that follows the leading of the Spirit above our self, will, and desires to conform to Christ.

SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS

We move toward the marginalized. We do not desire to be disconnected from the suffering of others. All humans are made in the image of God and that we are to pursue human flourishing for all—especially the marginal, forgotten, and discarded.

GENEROUS

We give and live like nothing is ours. Generosity is a gospel response because God gave everything. Everything we have is a gift from God, therefore, we want to make everything we have available to God for the sake of the gospel.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to breaking of bread and the prayers.
